I do the weddings to support my filthy trumpet habit.

When not officiating weddings with pizzazz, by night I’m an MC and freelance trumpet player/teacher under the name “LipServus Sunny”.  I primarily offer live entertainment, but I’ve been fortunate enough to be featured on dozens of studio releases across myriad genres, from pop and country to metal and experimental.  One guy just recorded the machinations of my trumpet without me even playing it (I think the high nickel content in the horn really comes into its own on that track).  I’ve been recorded in Seattle’s most esteemed studios, basements and attics both expertly converted and unfinished, bus station bathroom stalls, and even out in the middle of the woods in the dead of night on AA battery power.  We are so truly blessed to be able to record and mix music just about anywhere.

As one would expect, I gig around with soul and funk bands, and every once in a great while I reunite with my beloved Vaudeville band, Butt Dial.  In the meantime, I really cherish dropping in with friends who play more traditionally rock-focused music, and being able to provide a little extra “oomph” on tracks or for special shows. You can hear, see and smell all of that here. And get in touch or download my one-sheet for good measure if you would like.
